Christoph Antz pursued his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg in the field of structural biology and now works as a physicist. He has more than 20 years of experience in biotechnology, medical technology and venture capital. He has profound expertise on requirements and expectations from the perspective of founders and managers, as well as from the perspective of partners, buyers, and investors (VC, PE, banks). He has been a managing director and the founder of many start-ups and currently, he is the manager of an early-stage biotech venture fund. His core competencies include early-stage company and team building (from academic institutions), founding, building, financing and selling high-tech companies. He also specializes in R&D projects in the fields of drug development, medical technology, instrumentation and high tech. Dr. Christoph Antz is a member of the founding initiative Science4Life, he is on the advisory group of the European Commission Horizon 2020 as well as a Fellow of the KauffmanVenture Association (Class 10).
