FUSE-AI GmbH

Artifical Intelligence

Description

FUSE-AI is a Hamburg, Germany, based e-health company founded in 2017 with the aim to provide better medical care with intelligent software solutions. It is specialised in the use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare industry. Its team consists of medical doctors, biologists, data scientists, machine learning enginners, biomedical engineers, and marketing specialists.

Ever-tighter healthcare budgets require the development of efficient and cost-effective technologies. Particularly in the field of medical imaging, the evaluation of data and the creation of findings is often time-consuming and not always error-free. Modern imaging techniques provide physicians with more information but they are increasingly overwhelmed with the evaluation. Artificial intelligence (AI) and learning systems may provide one a solution in the future. Fuse-AI GmbH is developing solutions for the detection of various abnormalities indifferent imaging procedures.Through the use of modern deep learning processes, the company develops systems for AI-supported medical image analysis and makes them available in the healthcare industry via AI platforms such as Sherlog.ai.

In particular, FUSE-AI GmbH develops AI-supported software for radiology worldwide, namely for the most common tumour diseases such as prostate, breast and lung cancer. Further, FUSE-AI GmbH is currently developing the AI software "Prostate.Carcinoma.ai" for the diagnosis of prostate cancer and is in the MDR IIa andFDA 510 K certification phase. The software is currently tested in a multi-centric study in three different Swiss based clinical centres. FUSE-AI GmbH also develops the so called KIRMES project together with the University of Lübeck, BG Klinikum Hamburg and the Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment Berlin. The aim of this project is to identify poorly healing bone fractures at an early stage using algorithmic prognostic methods in order to positively influence healing through additional therapy options and to prevent delayed or complete failure to heal. The project will be funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)and VDI/VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH.
